Introduction — what CoursifyYT does

Turn any YouTube channel into an ordered course that lives beside the video you're watching.

CoursifyYT takes a YouTube channel — hundreds of uploads in reverse-chronological order — and turns it into an ordered course: disciplines, modules, topics, beginner to advanced. That course then lives right in YouTube's sidebar while you watch, so you always know what you're on and what comes next.

It is a Chrome extension. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server-side profile. You can build your first course without an API key at all.

Four places it shows up

CoursifyYT is not one window — it is a few small surfaces that all read the same saved course and the same progress, so ticking a video off in one place shows up instantly in the others.

The in-page panel

On a watch page the course docks at the top of YouTube's right column, marks the video you're on, and offers Overview and Transcript per video. Read more →

On your home and subscriptions feeds, a row of chips — one per course, with its progress — sits under YouTube's own filter row. Read more →

What a course gives you

  • An ordered curriculum. Every public upload on the channel, grouped into named modules and sequenced beginner → advanced by AI. Shorts are filtered out.
  • Per-video AI Overviews. A timestamped, collapsible breakdown of what a single video covers, so you can jump to the four minutes you actually need. Overviews →

What it isn't

  • It doesn't download videos, and it doesn't play them — YouTube does that.
  • It doesn't work on private, members-only or unlisted content. It reads what the public YouTube API and the page itself expose.
