Feed bar — chips on your feeds

On youtube.com's home feed and your subscriptions feed, a row of chips sits directly under YouTube's own “All / Music / Live” filter bar — one chip per course you've built, showing how far through it you are.

It's the way back into what you're studying, put where YouTube already trains you to look. It stays pinned while the feed scrolls, and it renders nothing at all until you have your first course.

Reading a chip

• The channel name, with the chip's own background filled to your progress and a 12/48 count. No separate progress bar — the chip is the bar.
• Clicking it takes you to that channel with the panel already open on the course, instead of sitting closed as a button.
• While a course is being built — from any surface — its chip is replaced by a live “Building X · 62%” chip. You never see both at once.

Pin and reorder

   Hover a chip and click the pin to lock it to the front. Pinned chips are never dropped by the 12-chip cap, so your current focus always stays visible.

   Drag chips to reorder them within their group. Dragging across the pinned / unpinned boundary is ignored on purpose — use the pin button for that.

   Both pins and order are saved to extension storage, so every tab and window follows. Delete a course from History and its pin is cleaned up with it.

Suggestions (subscriptions feed only)

The two feeds deliberately show different things. On home you get courses only. On subscriptions — which is already a list of channels you follow — you also get up to six dashed ＋ channel chips: channels appearing in your feed that don't have a course yet, ranked by how many videos of theirs are on screen.

Collapsing

The CoursifyYT logo chip at the left collapses the bar down to that single chip. This is intentionally not remembered: the bar is open again on your next visit, so one stray click can't permanently hide the feature. Pins and order — real settings — do persist.
