No account, no tracking — here's every place CoursifyYT stores something.
There is no account, no login and no user profile. CoursifyYT can't tell you apart from anyone else — and this page lists every place it puts data so you can check that claim.
What stays in your browser

Uninstalling the extension removes all of it. None of it syncs to another machine, because there's nowhere for it to sync to.
What reaches our server
- The channel you're coursifying. Its ID and title, so we can list its videos and cache the finished course.
- The finished course itself, cached and shared — which is why opening a popular channel is often instant and free for you.
- Video captions, on the free tier only, when you build an Overview: they're posted to our server so our AI key can summarize them, and the resulting outline is cached. With your own key, this call goes from your browser straight to your provider and we never see it.
- Your IP address, only to run the daily free-tier counters — in a bucket that expires automatically after about two days, linked to nothing else. Where we tally how many distinct people asked for a channel, it's stored as a one-way salted hash instead.
Not sent, ever
Your API keys. Your watch history. Your progress. Which videos you ticked. Any YouTube account identity — we never ask you to sign in to YouTube and never read who you are.
What the AI providers see
- Building a course: the titles and descriptions of the channel's public videos.
- Building an Overview: that one video's captions (or, on the fallback path, the video's public URL).
- Nothing else. No personal data is included in either prompt, because we don't hold any.

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracker in the extension.
