Notifications

Close the popup and get pinged when a course finishes building.

Building a course takes a minute or two. You shouldn't have to sit and watch a progress bar — turn on notifications, close the popup, and get pinged when it lands.

Turning it on

While a course is building, a Notify me switch appears on the progress card, in both the popup and the in-page panel. Flip it and you can close everything.

Course is ready

A desktop notification when the build finishes — or when it fails, with the reason. Clicking it opens the finished course.

Overview is ready

Overviews that take a while (the Gemini fallback path) notify on completion too, so you can leave the tab and come back.

If you see nothing

Chrome-level permission. Notifications are requested at install. If you declined, re-enable them in chrome://settings/content/notifications.
Operating-system Focus / Do Not Disturb silences Chrome's notifications entirely. Check your system notification settings for Chrome.
The run still finished. Notifications are a convenience, never the mechanism — the course is saved either way, and shows up in the feed bar, the panel and History.

You are never notified about anything else

No marketing, no re-engagement pings, no “you haven't studied in a while”. Notifications fire only for work you explicitly started.
